Western zodiac · Chinese five elements · numerology
Two ancient maps of you, read as one.
Your birth moment is a coordinate. Western astrology reads it as a sign of the zodiac; the Chinese Five Element tradition reads it as a balance of Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water. Fivefold Sky puts both maps on the same table and shows you where they agree.

Four lenses
One birth date, four traditions of self-portrait
Each system was designed for a different purpose. Stacked together, they make a surprisingly readable portrait — and a genuinely fun one.

Scores are produced by a deterministic pattern generator seeded from your birth details and the calendar period, lightly weighted by traditional element relationships. The same input always returns the same result — it is a mirror of a formula, not a forecast of events. Entertainment only.
Your lucky compass
Traditional Five Element lore assigns colours, numbers, directions and hours to each element. Here is the palette your chart leans on — treat it as a playful aesthetic guide, nothing more.
⚠ Entertainment purposes only
Fivefold Sky is a novelty entertainment product. Everything on this page — scores, dates, "lucky" items, personality text — is generated by a deterministic pattern algorithm written for amusement. None of it is a prediction, an assessment, or a statement of fact about you or your future.
It is not advice of any kind. In particular this site does not provide, and must not be relied on for:
- Life or career decisions — job changes, relocations, relationships, major purchases or contracts.
- Financial or investment advice — nothing here is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any asset, and no result reflects your financial situation.
- Medical or mental-health advice — never delay, change or stop professional care because of anything shown here. Seek a qualified clinician for any health concern.
- Legal advice — consult a licensed professional in your jurisdiction.
- Psychological or diagnostic assessments — no result is a personality diagnosis, IQ measure or clinical evaluation.
Astrology, numerology and the Chinese Five Elements are cultural and symbolic traditions, not empirically validated predictive sciences. Where you see health, wealth, love or career "scores", read them as a prompt for reflection or a conversation starter — never as guidance. You are the author of your life; this page is only a mirror you can enjoy and then set down.
By using this site you confirm you understand it is for entertainment, that you are solely responsible for your own decisions, and that no outcome is guaranteed or implied. This reading is not intended for anyone under 16.
Under the hood
The four systems, in plain English
We keep the maths honest even though the purpose is fun. Here is exactly what gets calculated.
Sun sign (Western astrology)
The Sun sign uses conventional date ranges. Birth time and solar longitude are not used for this part; cusp dates need a separate astronomical check. We also show its traditional element and modality.
Four Pillars (BaZi, 八字)
The Four Pillars encode the year, month, day and hour of birth as pairs of Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches. The year switches at Lìchūn, and months use calculated solar terms. This is an approximation; historical time zones and births near boundaries need independent checking.
Five Element weighting (Wu Xing)
Every stem and branch carries an element, and each branch also hides secondary stems. We weight the main qi, middle qi and residual qi, give the birth-month branch — the strongest influence in a chart — extra weight, and normalise to a 100-point distribution.
Life Path (numerology)
All the digits of your birth date are summed and reduced to a single digit, keeping 11, 22 and 33 as "master numbers". It is the simplest of the four systems, which is exactly why it is a good cross-check on the others.
Favourable element, simplified
Classical BaZi appoints a "useful god" element that supports a weak Day Master or drains an over-strong one. We approximate this with a balance test, then map it to colours, numbers, directions and hours — presented purely as decoration.
The outlook score
Period scores come from a seeded pseudo-random generator (your birth details + the calendar period form the seed), nudged up or down by how the period's own element relates to your chart through the generating and controlling cycles. Deterministic, transparent, and entirely for fun.
Questions
Before you ask
Is this real? Does it actually predict my future?
No. This is an entertainment product. Astrology, numerology and the Five Elements are symbolic traditions with cultural depth, but they have no demonstrated predictive power. The numbers you see come from a formula, not from the universe. Enjoy the reading the way you would enjoy a fortune cookie.
Does the site store my birth details?
Your birth details and reading stay in your browser. A random browser identifier is used for anonymous usage statistics; see the Privacy Policy.
Why does birth time matter?
In the Four Pillars system the hour of birth creates the fourth pillar. Without it we can still compute three pillars and give you a full reading — the hour pillar will simply be left blank and the elemental balance is drawn from the remaining six characters.
Why do my Chinese zodiac animal and my Western sign sometimes disagree?
They are built on different clocks. The Chinese zodiac follows a solar-terrestrial calendar whose year turns at the start of spring (around 4 February), while the Western zodiac follows the Sun's position against the tropical zodiac. If you were born in January or early February, this difference is especially visible — and it is one of the more interesting parts of the reading.
Can I use this for health, money or legal matters?
Absolutely not. This site provides no professional advice of any kind. For health, money, legal or psychological matters, consult a qualified licensed professional in your jurisdiction. Nothing here should influence a real decision.
Is it suitable for children?
The reading is intended for users aged 16 and over. The content is mild, but the framing assumes an adult who understands that the results are fictional entertainment.
